The main material used was painted walnut veneer panels. Unlike traditional office renovations, this project didn’t include any door configurations. Instead, the focus was on cladding the gym’s structural support columns with wood veneer panels—integrating these architectural columns and select wall sections into a cohesive, high-end interior design.

Client’s Core Requirements

The client’s main goal wasn’t to install ordinary partition walls. Instead, they wanted to transform the gym’s structural support columns into a cohesive, upscale feature that elevated the entire commercial space.

Their focus was on three key things:

1. Covering the plain structural support columns with wood veneer panels so they blend seamlessly with the space’s overall interior design.
2. Combining light boxes and wall treatments to boost the space’s visual sophistication.
3. Enhancing the overall sense of luxury and refinement in the commercial environment.

Privacy and soundproofing weren’t priorities here. The main focus was on creating a clean, unified, and high-end look for the fitness center.

Why SG-86 Was Chosen Over Traditional Methods

We selected the SG-86 system because it perfectly matched the project’s specific needs. The key reasons are simple and practical:

Slim Profile: The single-sided column cladding is only 30 mm thick. This means it doesn’t make the original structural columns look bulky, and adds barely any extra thickness to the existing structure—critical for keeping the gym space open.

Seamless Corners: SG-86 allows for integrated corner joints, creating a clean, polished look essential for a high-end commercial space.
