Bangalore IT Park, India SG-86 Standard Office Mixed Partition System

Bangalore IT Park, India SG 86 Standard Office Mixed Partition System

Project Background

This project is for an IT company’s office space located in Bangalore, India. We chose the SG-86 wall system for the fit-out, with partitions standing at 2800 mm tall and covering a total area of 2300 square meters.

The main materials used are aluminum, melamine-faced particleboard, and glass, paired with double-glazed aluminum-framed doors. The client specified a structural floor (not raised flooring) and a solid concrete ceiling in their layout plans.

As a standard corporate office fit-out, the client prioritized cost efficiency. This meant making compromises on fire resistance and high soundproofing requirements—their focus was on creating a balanced design for spatial division and visual appeal within a standardized office setting.

Client’s Core Requirements

The client’s most specific requirement was clear: 2800 mm tall walls divided into three sections, with glass in the center.

They didn’t want fully solid walls that would enclose the space, nor did they want entirely transparent glass partitions. Instead, they sought a balance between office boundaries, natural light, and a polished finish.

By combining wood veneer panels with glass, they weren’t aiming for extreme transparency or complete privacy. Instead, they wanted a standardized mixed-office partition system that would work well in an IT workplace.

Why SG-86 Was Chosen

The design team put forward a clear renovation plan, with specific requirements for partitioning and the central glass panels. Considering the client’s budget and design needs, SG-86 was the obvious optimal choice—here’s why:

First, this is a standard office environment, so it didn’t require high fire resistance or strict compliance standards—SG-86 fits this scenario perfectly. Second, SG-86 supports mixed-material design, allowing us to combine glass and solid panels to create an aesthetic that’s just right for an IT office.

It also ensures consistency across door systems, wall partitions, and the overall visual look. Plus, it’s budget-friendly and adaptable, balancing cost efficiency with the flexibility to make future modifications.

SG-86 is a mainstream platform made for general offices, meeting rooms, and standard commercial interiors. It’s ideal for large-scale, standardized, and replicable office projects. Compared to SG-40, SG-86 better accommodates door systems and localized wood finishes.

Compared to SG-100, it’s more suited for conventional office projects that don’t need high fire-rated or compliance requirements. And unlike traditional drywall, SG-86 offers a cleaner, more systematic partitioning solution—one that allows for future adjustments while keeping the space looking polished.

System Specifications and Configuration

The core specifications we used for the project are as follows:

– System: SG-86

– Height: 2800 mm

– Primary Materials: Aluminum + Melamine Board + Glass

– Door Type: Double-glazed aluminum-framed doors

– Spatial Configuration: 2800 mm three-panel layout with glass in the center

This configuration is a typical example of SG-86’s standard office mixed-material partition. It achieves clear wall partitioning, partial transparency, a uniform door style, and defined office boundaries—all in a standardized, budget-controlled solution that works for mainstream office spaces.

On-Site Constraints and Solutions

There were no unexpected challenges during the design and construction process. This was a standard office fit-out project, with clear design requirements and well-defined system boundaries—making installation risks easy to control.

Our focus was on strictly following the design specifications: things like how wood veneer and glass were partitioned, where the glass was placed, the door styles, and the overall office aesthetic. This ensured we delivered a stable, standardized office system as planned.

Packaging Method

We followed standard project protocols for packaging. All components were labeled with wall and profile numbers, making on-site verification and installation straightforward.

Glass panels were packed in wooden crates based on their dimensions, with each crate labeled to match the corresponding wall and profile numbers. We also provided spare parts for small components and certain profiles to ensure the installation process went smoothly.

Results and Delivered Value

The project was completed successfully and demonstrates SG-86’s reliability for standard office projects. The key achievements include:

– Clear wall divisions with well-defined sections

– Seamless integration of glass and wood veneer panels in one system

– A perfect balance between light transmission and boundary definition

– A unified design across double-glazed aluminum-framed doors, walls, and the overall office aesthetic

This case study highlights SG-86’s suitability for SG-86 product pages, standard office partition applications, and as a reference solution for mixed office layout scenarios. It’s a testament to SG-86’s ability to deliver stable, standardized, and visually cohesive office partition systems that meet modern workplace needs.
