Thailand Government Office Phone Booth Project Case Study

Thailand Government Office Phone Booth Project Case Study

Project Background

In September 2025, our long-term Thai partner Workspace contacted us with an RFQ for a Bangkok government office bidding project. Workspace is a local office furniture manufacturer with a 3,000㎡ production facility, specializing in office fit-out projects.

The end user is a Thai state-owned enterprise with offices across three floors. The project required a total of 16 booths: 6 single-person phone booths and 10 six-person conference booths. We received the official floor plan from the client, which clearly marked the exact placement and door opening direction for each unit.

Single-person booths are arranged in open office areas and corridors for private calls, short conversations and personal video meetings. Six-person conference booths are placed adjacent to existing meeting rooms, acting as extra meeting capacity since each floor only has one formal large meeting room.

Project Requirements & Custom Specifications

All booth dimensions in this project are non-standard custom sizes, different from our regular standard products:

  • Single-person phone booth: 1200W × 1200D × 2300H
  • Six-person conference booth: 2400W × 2200D × 2300H

The client also set strict aesthetic requirements: exterior finish in RAL 056, with custom fabric interior upholstery to match the overall office interior design style.

For functional performance, all booths are equipped with occupancy sensors, adjustable brightness lighting and adjustable fan speed. Fan specifications are fixed at 150 CFM airflow and 26 dB noise level. Both models come with casters and adjustable leveling feet. The six-person conference booths are pre-designed with a TV mounting bracket on the rear center wall for video conferencing.

Strict acoustic and certification requirements were listed in the bidding documents:

Dₛ,A ≥ 30 dB, NIC > 32 dB, SGS test reports, ISO 23351-1 standard compliance, VOC overall & material test certificates, 3C certified laminated ultra-clear glass, installation manual and installation video.

Why Prefabricated Booths Instead of Fixed Partitions

Instead of traditional on-site fixed partitions, the client chose our prefabricated booth solution for clear practical reasons:

  1. No disruptive construction work to the existing office building
  2. Quickly supplement private calling spaces and additional small-to-medium meeting rooms
  3. Fully customizable dimensions, layout, color and configuration to fit the exact floor plan
  4. Flexible deployment without permanent modification to the office structure

Full Project Configuration Summary

6 single-person phone booths: open office & corridor installation, for private calls and short video meetings

10 six-person conference booths: next to formal meeting rooms, for impromptu meetings, team discussions and video conferences

Common specifications: RAL 056 exterior, custom fabric interior, occupancy sensor, adjustable lighting & fan, 150CFM / 26dB fan, casters + adjustable feet, laminated ultra-clear glass.

We also provided complete bidding supporting documents: floor plan-based 3D renderings, all required test & certification reports, installation materials, production QC workflow videos.

Site Coordination & Execution Solutions

Before contract signing, we sent the client a site condition confirmation form to verify booth size, packaging dimension, weight, elevator access, unloading distance, transportation route, installation readiness and power supply conditions. The client completed all on-site information feedback accordingly.

During production, we followed strict internal procedures: material inspection & photo archiving, pre-production sample assembly, functional testing and performance verification. Before packaging, all components were sorted, photographed from multiple angles and labeled with unique part numbers matching the installation manual.

We also prepared a pre-shipment inspection checklist for the client. Full container loading photos were recorded and sent after shipment to confirm intact packaging and delivery status.

Project Results & Delivery

The formal project contract was confirmed in mid-November 2025. After finishing data verification, site confirmation and document preparation, production and packaging were carried out as scheduled.

All 16 booths were fully completed and delivered by the end of December 2025. On-site installation was finished in early February 2026.

Every detail including dimensions, color, interior design, functions, acoustic performance, certifications and installation services strictly met the government bidding requirements. This successful customized government project further consolidated our long-term cooperative relationship with Workspace.
